Black mold on wood under sink..Help!?

Mold under kitchen sink, I got it that to get rid of the mold I should use bleach but the problem is it has began emitting an odor. I did place moisture Rid Kit under the sink, but it looks like the mold is eating away the wood under the pipes. All the cabinets surrounding the sink are wood and so is the small shelf under the sink. How do I remove the shelf? I have no idea what’s under it or how to go about removing it. Also, once I fix the issue how do I stop this from happening again? Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. Call help to remove the shelf and to keep the mould from coming back, make sure there is not too much moisture under the sink and that it is nice and clean and get a tough wood that will survive mould.

  2. Don’t use bleach. You can use vodka, since it’s entirely alcohol. It’ll kill any bacteria and mold. Vinegar also kills mold and mildew, and lemon as well.

Be careful with supermarket chemical laden products, they’re dangerous. I’d call a carpenter for an estimate, or check out Home Depot’s staff.
